How to make a visited countries map (free)

Mark countries as Visited, Lived, or Want on the PlacesLit world map (177 countries), then share a link or a 9:16 Reel.

One world hub — 177 countries — not a page per country. Zoom, pan, or Find by name. Play trip stays on the US map; the world surface still downloads a 9:16 Reel.

  1. Step 1

    Open the world map

Go to the world / countries visited map. The header toggle should read World.

  2. Step 2

    Pick a status brush

Visited, Lived, and Want work the same as on the US map. “Been there” counts Visited + Lived out of 177 countries.

  3. Step 3

Tap land — zoom for small countries

Scroll or pinch to zoom, drag to pan, then tap a country. Use Commands / Find to search by name when islands are hard to hit.

  4. Step 4

    Share or export a Reel

Share studio mints a /s link and can download a 9:16 poster of the world map. Play trip stays on the US map.

Same statuses as the US how-to.

This how-to opens the live world surface with whatever you already marked on this device.
